URGENT DOMAIN NOTICE

Have you received a letter titled URGENT DOMAIN NOTICE in regards to one of your domain names? This notice is not an official communication from Explorer Domains or any of our partners.

It has come to our attention that a number of Domain Registrants with domain names on the Explorer system have received a notice from Chesley Rafferty, former managing director of Domain Names Australia Pty Ltd.

Explorer Domains has NOT been involved in the generation of these notices, nor do we condone their contents.

If you have received such a notice and wish to renew your domain name, we advise that you contact us as soon as possible, and we will put you in touch with the Explorer Domains Partner who manages your domain.

Please do not follow the How To Renew instructions contained within the notice without first speaking to us.

.id.au email SPAM warning

A new email spam is circulating which claims to be from the .id.au domain registry. This message claims that the users domain is pending deletion and requests the user open an attached password protected .ZIP file for further instructions. If you receive such a message please delete it immediately and do not open the included .ZIP file as it contains a virus.

The id.au promotion starts on Monday 15th September at 10am.

The id.au promotion is a special scheme being run by AusRegistry in an attempt to increase the use and awareness of id.au domains. During the promotion, AusRegistry will give away up to 50,000 id.au domains completely free of charge for six months. After this time, if you elect to keep the domain, a pro-rata registration fee will be charged.
